Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 fresh abalones, cleaned and sliced
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine

- White pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
- Add the jasmine rice and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the sliced abalone, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Continue to simmer for another 20 minutes, or until the congee reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Stir in the Shaoxing wine and season with salt and white pepper to taste.
- Divide the congee into serving bowls and garnish with sliced green onions.
