Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salted cod, flour, onion, garlic, parsley, scallions, baking powder, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
  2. Add water gradually and mix until a thick batter forms.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  4. Scoop spoonfuls of the batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil.
  5. Fry the fish cakes until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the fish cakes from the oil and drain on paper towels.
