Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted cod, soaked and flaked
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 scallion, finely chopped
  • 1 hot pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the salted cod, flour, onion, scallion, hot pepper, and baking powder.
  2. Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
  3. Season with black pepper and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
