Acehnese Spicy Beef Stir-fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add the onion, garlic, and red chilies. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
