Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp achari masala (pickle spice mix)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 green chili, slit
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add achari masala, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add the chicken pieces and cook until the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
