Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb, onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Divide the lamb mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a long, thin kebab shape.
- Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium-high heat. Cook the kebabs for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- While the kebabs are cooking, mix the yogurt, mint, lemon juice, and olive oil in a small bowl to make the yogurt sauce.
- Warm the pita breads on the grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Place a cooked kebab on each pita bread and top with the yogurt sauce.
- Serve the Adana Kebabs with additional yogurt sauce on the side and your favorite salad or grilled vegetables.
