Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the almond flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the almond extract and eggs, and mix until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
