Albanian Meatballs (Qofte të Fërguara)
Qofte të Fërguara, or Albanian Meatballs, are a traditional dish from Kosovan cuisine that are packed with flavor and perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the Qofte të Fërguara hot with your favorite side dishes.
