Ingredients

  • 1 lb Alberta beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the wok and pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
