Ingredients

  • 1 lb Alberta beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the snow peas to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef to the wok and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and snow peas.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
