Ingredients

  • 1 lb Alberta beef, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, carrots, and snow peas)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add beef slices and stir-fry until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and mixed vegetables, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the beef and vegetables.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
