Ingredients

  • 6 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
