Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried white peas
  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
  • 1/4 cup mint-coriander chutney
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried white peas in water for 6-8 hours or overnight. Drain the water and pressure cook the peas with salt until they are soft.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked peas, boiled potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, and tomato.
  3. Add tamarind chutney, mint-coriander chutney, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the ingredients with the chutneys and spices.
  4. Divide the mixture into serving bowls and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sev.
