Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 cup powdered jaggery (gur)
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds and cashews
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Oil for deep frying
- Water for kneading
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and ghee. Mix well and knead into a firm dough using water.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into round balls to make the baatis.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the baatis until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once the baatis are fried, let them cool and then crush them into a coarse powder.
- In a separate bowl, mix the powdered jaggery, chopped almonds, cashews, and cardamom powder.
- Add the crushed baati powder to the jaggery mixture and mix well to combine.
- The Baati Churma is ready to be served.
