Ingredients
- 1 liter full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
- 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, bring the milk to a boil and then simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until it reduces to half its original quantity.
- Add sugar, saffron strands, and chopped nuts to the reduced milk and continue to cook on low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens.
- Once the mixture reaches a thick consistency, add cardamom powder and mix well. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Refrigerate the nimish for a few hours before serving. Garnish with additional chopped nuts before serving.
