Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh clams
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Spanish paprika
- Salt to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, soak the clams in cold water for 20 minutes to remove any sand or grit. Drain and rinse the clams thoroughly.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the clams to the pot and sprinkle the Spanish paprika over the top. Cover the pot with a lid and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
- Discard any clams that have not opened. Season the clams with salt to taste.
- Transfer the clams to a serving dish, drizzle with any remaining olive oil from the pot, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
