Almond Tart (tarta De Almendras)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter and stir until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the tart pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and almond extract. Pour the mixture into the cooled crust.
  6. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top of the filling.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the almonds are golden.
  8. Heat the apricot preserves in a small saucepan over low heat. Brush the warm preserves over the top of the tart.
  9. Let the tart cool completely before serving.
