Aloo Pie Adventure

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 12 store-bought or homemade pie crusts
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat some oil and add the cumin seeds. Once they start to sizzle, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are soft.
  2. Add the mashed potatoes, turmeric, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well to combine all the ingredients and cook for a few minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  3. Roll out the pie crusts and place a spoonful of the potato filling in the center of each crust. Fold the crust over the filling to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan and carefully place the Aloo Pies in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  5. Remove the Aloo Pies from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your Aloo Pie Adventure!
