Aloo Tikki Quesadillas

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups of mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, onions, cilantro, and salt.
  2. Place a tortilla on a flat surface and spread a layer of the potato mixture on one half of the tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the potato mixture.
  4. Fold the tortilla in half to cover the filling, creating a half-moon shape.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  6. Carefully place the filled tortilla in the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  7. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  8. Slice the quesadillas into wedges and serve hot.
