Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round patties.
  3. Roll the patties in bread crumbs until coated evenly.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties until they turn golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove from the pan and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
