Aloo Tikki Wraps
Aloo Tikki Wraps are a popular Indian street food made with spicy potato patties served in a wrap with chutney and crunchy vegetables. They are perfect for a quick and delicious meal or snack.
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 4 tortillas or roti
- 4 tbsp tamarind chutney
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into round patties.
- Roll the patties in bread crumbs and shallow fry in a pan until golden brown on both sides.
- Warm the tortillas or roti on a griddle.
- Spread 1 tbsp of tamarind chutney on each tortilla or roti.
- Place a potato patty in the center of each tortilla or roti.
- Top with shredded cabbage, carrots, and chopped cilantro.
- Roll up the tortillas or roti and serve hot.
