Ingredients

  • 1 lb Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 lb potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the grated Swiss cheese over the potatoes.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the white wine, minced garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the wine mixture over the potatoes and cheese in the baking dish.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
