Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into cubes
- 5 shallots, finely chopped

- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the shallots, garlic, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, sweet soy sauce, and vegetable oil to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and ensure they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- Heat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat. Grill the satay for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the Ambal Satay hot with steamed rice and a side of fresh cucumber and tomato salad.
