Ingredients
- 500g fresh cherries, pitted
- 4 eggs
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120g all-purpose flour
- 300ml milk
- Butter, for greasing the baking dish
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a 9-inch round baking dish with butter.
- Arrange the pitted cherries in a single layer in the baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and milk to the egg mixture, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is set and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Dust the clafoutis with powdered sugar before serving.
