Instructions

  3. Add the flaked codfish, bell pepper, and okra. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the water and bring the stew to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the spinach and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let the stew rest for 5 minutes before serving.
