Ingredients
- 3 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan. Arrange the sliced apples over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
