Ingredients

  • 6 cups of apples, peeled and sliced
  • 8 slices of white bread, crusts removed
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer half of the apples in a greased baking dish.
  3. Cut the bread into cubes and place half of them over the apples.
  4. Sprinkle half of the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the bread.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining apples, bread, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until the apples are tender and the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
