Arctic Char Poke Bowl (Nieriäpoke-kulho)

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh Arctic char, cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup edamame beans, shelled
  • 1/4 cup shredded nori seaweed
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the cubed Arctic char in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Divide the cooked sushi rice into two serving bowls.
  4. Arrange the marinated Arctic char, avocado, cucumber, and edamame beans on top of the rice.
  5. Sprinkle with shredded nori seaweed, green onions, and sesame seeds.
  6. Serve the Nieriäpoke-kulho immediately and enjoy!
