Nieriäpoke-kulho, or Arctic Char Poke Bowl, is a traditional dish from the Sami cuisine that features fresh Arctic char served in a vibrant and flavorful bowl. This dish is not only delicious but also packed with healthy and nutritious ingredients.
Ingredients
- 200g fresh Arctic char, cubed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup edamame beans, shelled
- 1/4 cup shredded nori seaweed
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the cubed Arctic char in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Divide the cooked sushi rice into two serving bowls.
- Arrange the marinated Arctic char, avocado, cucumber, and edamame beans on top of the rice.
- Sprinkle with shredded nori seaweed, green onions, and sesame seeds.
- Serve the Nieriäpoke-kulho immediately and enjoy!
