Arctic Char Tartare (Bergfífla tartar)

Ingredients

  • 250g fresh Arctic char, skinless and boneless
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the Arctic char and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chopped shallot, capers, and dill to the bowl.
  3. In a small separate bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the dressing over the char mixture and gently toss to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tartare for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Divide the tartare into 4 portions and serve chilled.
