  • 4 cups of whole milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the rice, whole milk, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the rice mixture for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, raisins (if using), and vanilla extract. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and let the rice pudding cool for a few minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick.
