Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a food processor, combine the flour, powdered sugar, salt, and butter. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped dates and almonds. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
- In a small saucepan, heat the honey, heavy cream, and vanilla extract over medium heat. Once heated through, pour this mixture over the dates and almonds in the tart crust.
- Bake the tart for an additional 25 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Let the tart cool before slicing and serving.
