Asun Sliders

Asun sliders are a delicious Nigerian twist on the classic sliders, featuring spicy grilled goat meat served in small buns. This recipe is perfect for parties, game days, or any time you want to impress your guests with a unique and flavorful dish.

Asun Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 kg goat meat, cut into small pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 12 small burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the goat meat, onions, garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, thyme, and salt. Mix well to ensure the meat is evenly coated with the spices. Marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated goat meat onto skewers and grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.
  3. While the meat is grilling, brush the burger buns with vegetable oil and toast them on the grill until lightly golden.
  4. Assemble the sliders by placing a few pieces of grilled goat meat in each bun. Serve hot and enjoy!
