Aussie Veggie Chow Mein (澳洲蔬菜炒面)
This Aussie Veggie Chow Mein is a delicious fusion of Australian and Chinese flavors, combining fresh Australian vegetables with classic chow mein noodles.
Ingredients
- 300g chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 200g snow peas, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the bell peppers, carrot, and snow peas, and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to the wok, and toss everything together until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the Aussie Veggie Chow Mein to a serving dish and serve hot.
