Ingredients

  • 300g chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 200g snow peas, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the bell peppers, carrot, and snow peas, and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to the wok, and toss everything together until well combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer the Aussie Veggie Chow Mein to a serving dish and serve hot.
