Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups (200g) snow peas, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil in the same wok. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the snow peas to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef to the wok, pour in the sauce mixture, and toss everything together until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and snow peas.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to a serving dish.
