Ingredients
- 500g smoked pork
- 1 cup fermented soybean (axone)
- 1 cup bamboo shoots (khorisa)
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1-inch ginger, julienned
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onion, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add the smoked pork and cook until it turns golden brown.
- Add the fermented soybean (axone) and stir well to combine.
- Next, add the bamboo shoots (khorisa) and mix thoroughly.
- Add the turmeric powder and salt to taste. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped tomato and ginger, and cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Simmer the dish for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Once the pork is tender and the flavors have infused, remove from heat.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
