Ingredients
- 500g chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce

- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the tamarind paste, soy sauce, and honey. Marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture for 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until browned. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the sliced bell peppers and cook until they begin to soften.
- Return the chicken to the pan. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry into the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the Ayam Asam Manis hot with steamed rice.
