Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground turmeric, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides.
- Pour in the water and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender.
- Serve the Fragrant Ginger Chicken hot with steamed rice.
