Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, ginger, and red chili. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken cubes and cook until they are no longer pink.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and stir well. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the diced mangoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the Ayam Mangga hot with steamed rice.
