Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together garlic, shallots, sweet soy sauce, honey, ground coriander, ground turmeric, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the marinade and coat them evenly. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the chicken wings for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.
