Ayam Panggang Bumbu Kecap Pedas (marinated Grilled Chicken Wings With Spicy Soy Sauce)
Ayam Panggang Bumbu Kecap Pedas, or Marinated Grilled Chicken Wings with Spicy Soy Sauce, is a popular dish in Sundanese cuisine. The chicken wings are marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and soy sauce, then grilled to perfection, resulting in a deliciously tender and aromatic dish.
Ingredients
- 12 chicken wings
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, kecap manis, honey, lime juice, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken wings from the marinade and grill for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
- Brush the chicken wings with any remaining marinade while grilling for extra flavor.
- Once done, remove the chicken wings from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
