Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala spice mix
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, tandoori masala spice mix, lemon juice, cumin, turmeric, paprika, garlic, ginger, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Grill the chicken skewers for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Serve the Ayam Tandoori hot with naan bread, rice, or a fresh salad.
