Babi Bumbu Ngohiong (five-spice Pork Stir-fry)

Ingredients

  • 500g pork, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, and sugar for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add garlic and onion, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated pork and stir-fry until the pork is cooked through.
  4. Add the bell peppers and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
