Babi Panggang (crispy Roast Pork)

Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork belly
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the garlic, shallot, five-spice powder, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Score the skin of the pork belly with a sharp knife, then rub the marinade all over the pork, making sure to get it into the scores.
- Place the pork on a wire rack in a roasting pan, skin side up.
- Roast the pork in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.
- Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
