Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, red chilies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, brown sugar, and vegetable oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  5. Grill the beef skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove from the grill and let the skewers rest for a few minutes before serving.
