Badi Chura (Sun-dried Lentil Crumble)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sun-dried lentil crumbles
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green chilies. Sauté until the onion turns golden brown.
  3. Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomato softens.
  4. Add the sun-dried lentil crumbles and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the crumbles turn crispy.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and dal.
