Bahraini Chicken Shawarma With Garlic Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita bread rounds
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken, onion, olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and onion mixture. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the onions are caramelized.
- Warm the pita bread in the skillet for about 1 minute on each side.
- Divide the chicken mixture among the pita bread rounds. Drizzle with garlic sauce and serve immediately.
