Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita bread rounds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chicken, onion, olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and onion mixture. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the onions are caramelized.
  3. Warm the pita bread in the skillet for about 1 minute on each side.
