Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup wheat starch
- 1/2 cup tapioca starch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped.
- In a large bowl, mix together the wheat starch, tapioca starch, and water to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin, translucent wrapper.
- Place a spoonful of the chopped shrimp filling in the center of each wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper over the filling and pleat the edges to seal the dumpling.
- Steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes until the filling is cooked through and the wrapper turns translucent.
