Baikal Fisherman's Delight

Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets, cut into chunks
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 4 cups fish or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic, paprika, cumin, and chili powder, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes and bell pepper, and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the fish or vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the fish chunks and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the Baikal Fisherman's Delight hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
