Baikal Fisherman's Pizza
Baikal Fisherman's Pizza is a traditional dish from Buryat Cuisine, inspired by the flavors of Lake Baikal. This unique pizza features a delicious combination of fish, vegetables, and local herbs, making it a must-try for seafood lovers.
Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets, such as omul or whitefish
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup chopped dill
- 200g mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
Instructions
- Preheat the stovetop to medium heat.
- Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from the pan and flake the fish into small pieces.
- Roll out the pizza dough and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- Top the pizza with the cooked fish, sliced onion, diced bell pepper, tomato slices, chopped cilantro, and dill.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza.
- Cover the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the pan, slice, and serve hot.
