Baikal Fisherman's Tacos
Baikal Fisherman's Tacos are a delicious Buryat Cuisine-inspired dish that combines the flavors of Lake Baikal with a Mexican twist. These tacos are filled with fresh fish and vibrant vegetables, making them a perfect meal for a summer gathering or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh fish fillets
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small tortillas
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the fish fillets with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- Remove the fish from the pan and flake it into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion and bell pepper until they are tender.

- Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with the fish and vegetable mixture.
- Top with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
